Plastic surgery - would you? could you? should you? | Mamamia
That said, it's not just the younger generation now I know people who have had the same procedure done over 2 decades ago. People and the media just talk about it more and more. I would never ever have further surgery on my nose or else ... I don't see any problem with it, as long as you are over the age of 18, thought through your reasonings for getting such a major physical alteration done (remember most of which isn't completely reversable) and don't get addicted to it [more...]

A 63-year-old doctor with a troubled medical past, a security guard, an office manager and a medical technician were among the 12 people arrested Thursday in two Jacksonville raids related to the abuse of prescription drugs. All of them appeared before a Duval County judge Friday with hands bound and feet shackled. oxycontin op - The People's Medicine Community
To add insult to injury I'm recovering from major major major spine surgery done April 2010 so I'm also dealing with some of that residual pain. Jesus Christ they should have informed us via an insert at least and gave some alternative directions and or options such as a transitional period. Call it dependence tolerance or what you will Purdue knows they've got the entire country hooked on this medication. How many truly need it may never be known. About that alcohol lobby funding - Drug WarRant
I’d like to further discuss the earlier post about Alcohol lobby funding the Prop 19 opposition. First. I like alcohol. I think that alcohol, used responsibly, just like any other drug, has a wonderful place in our society. Personally, I’m a big fan of Tanqueray and Tonic, as well as a variety of top-notch single-malt scotches. I like a Guinness with fish and chips, and once in a while I enjoy experimenting with craft beers. I have no interest in boycotting alcohol because of who or what they fund. Second. I really have no fundamental objection to the alcohol industry funding opposition [more...]

It's Kind of a Funny Story' avoids insulting people with mental ...
Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, the writing/directing team behind "It's Kind of a Funny Story," faced a major challenge in making their movie: There's a razor-thin line between laughing with and laughing at those suffering from mental illness. ... "Half Nelson" (2006), their penetrating portrait of a drug-addicted junior high school teacher, earned Ryan Gosling an Oscar nomination for best actor. And "Sugar" (2008), about a Dominican baseball player and his quest for success [more...]
