What is DNA testing

voir la vidéoDNA paternity testing is a complex scientific process, carried out on a simple mouth swab, which can positively identify relationships between people. Most commonly it is used to establish if a man is the true biological father of a child. DNA paternity testing is also often referred to simply as a DNA test, a paternity test or DNA testing. It was developed by Sir Alec Jeffreys at the University of Leicester in 1985. Cellmark became the UK's first private DNA paternity testing laboratory in 1987. DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) is the body's genetic 'blueprint'. It is a long thread-like molecule which carries the "genetic code" that determines our individual characteristics. DNA is found in almost all of the billions of cells that make up our body. Every child inherits a unique mixture of DNA from its parents so, except for identical twins, no two people in the world have exactly the same genetic code. ARM1c Arthur C. Miller Memorial Service

Video by Justin Taylan / PacificWrecks.org Miller was the gunner aboard TBM Avenger 16956 MIA over Peleliu on September 13, 1944 www.pacificwrecks.com Miller's remains were recovered from the crash site after the battle, but misidentified as Stuart, another member of the same crew. These remains were returned to Stuart's mother in 1948 and buried in California. Ths crash site was relocated by BentProp and investigated by JPAC in 2005, but failed to find any additional remains of the crew. Sister Mary Ellen Stuart-Roberts had the remains exhumed and paid $11000 for private DNA testing and confirmed the remains did not belong to her brother. Notifying the Navy, in April 2008 the US Navy took the remains to JPAC / CILHI Laboratory in Hawaii. During October 2009, the remains were identified by DNA testing as those of Arthur C. Miller.
