This procedure was performed on April 17, 2007 by Dr. David D'Alessandro, Cardiothoracic Surgeon at the Center. Dr. Ricardo Bello was the assisting surgeon during the procedure. The panel discussion was moderated by Dr. Daniel Goldstein, Surgical Director of Cardiac Transplantation, Montefiore-Einstein Heart Center. They were joined by a live audience of surgeon-colleagues and cardiologists. The webcast featured video portions of the procedure as well as detailed descriptions of the techniques used.
