Cosmetic Surgery in UK: Is it Safe? | Health Care Zone
British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons president Nigel Mercer has described the British cosmetic surgery industry as an “unregulated mess” and said that tighter control is needed to clamp down on untested products and two-in-one medical offers. Mercer said there is also a need to regulate new products like dermal fillers, which currently do not have to be tested as drugs. He also called for the government not to allow discount offers in the medical field. Mercer has gotten the support of several British doctors. For instance Dr Harvey Marcovitch, editor of the Clinical Risk [more...]

DANA DELANY TALKS BOTOX AND PLASTIC SURGERY
Teri Hatcher ain’t the only Desperate Housewives star talking Botox. “Seven years ago, I had never heard of Botox,” Dana Delany tells the November issue of Prevention. “My dermatologist was saying, ‘You should try it.’ He injected my forehead, hit a nerve, and created a huge hematoma. The nerve has been dead ever since. It affected the muscle in my right eye, so my eye has started to droop a little bit.” The 54-year-old actress also reveals that as a teen and into her 20s, she had eating issues. “I binged. I starved. I was one step from anorexia — a piece of toast and an [more...]

The Do's and Don'ts of Dine-and-Dash - Broward Palm Beach ...
Returning to the scene of the crime is not wise unless, of course, you've drastically changed your look either by way of plastic surgery or a clever disguise. Do: Dress properly. Wear something that won't hinder your speed. Bring your running shoes, because you're going to need them. You don't want to look like you just came from the gym -- c'mon, this is fine dining after all -- but don't wear heels or a meat dress. Don't: Bring anyone who is going to slow you down. Dine-and-dash doesn't have to be a solitary activity. Bring along a friend, a family member or anyone who can run fast. [more...]

Reasons To Use Skin Care Products
Perhaps one of the most common reasons to use skin care products is to keep your skin moist. Dry skin has a higher tendency to wrinkle and become chapped. Dry skin is also more likely to become irritated and red. Oftentimes, when an individual experiences dry skin, they also experience itching, which when aggravated, can lead to rashes, sores, and scarring. There are quite a few skin care products available in the form of lotion that can help to relieve dry skin, heal rash, and prevent future dryness as well. Another common reason why people use skin care products is because they suffer from [more...]

What kinds of anti-aging procedures or treatments have you had ...
Don’t fall for most of these "Miracle Treatments". Scams range from simple things like $100.00 an ounce magic-creams to horribly dangerous treatments like human growth hormones. There is a great BBC Doc called "BBC Horizon Professor Regans Beauty Parlour" from 2007 where she goes through the hype and picks out the scientifically valid products from the scams. I have dry skin, it was a benefit during my teens not to have acne problems, but now I have to use lotion, cream, serum and such. China sees massive rise in teen/adolescent plastic surgery | DWS Extra
Plastic surgery was mostly the domain of middle aged people desperately fighting age, or appeasing vanity. Things are changing in China, where plastic surgery is drawing in Chinese youth in droves. Almost 80% of plastic surgery procedures happening over the course of this summer were on young people in the senior high school – college age group says a study done by the China Medical Treatment Orthopedics and Beauty Association. What has changed in the span of about five years is that whereas earlier young people who were almost out of college came in to fix their bodies, now even younger [more...]

Where Are My Keys?: Gaming the system..
She explained: 'I have wanted a boob job since I was a teen. But it wasn't until I had five children that I could afford it - with all the extra benefits I get. Now I hope to have liposuction, a tummy tuck and regular Botox. 'I thought having children would make my boobs bigger, but that never happened so I decided to do something about them. 'I saved money from my benefits for four months to cover half the cost and put the rest on a credit card, which I pay back with my benefits. 'I know most people will think it is wrong I am spending taxpayers' money on my looks. But I deserve it [more...]
