When the iPhone 4 first launched many of the case manufacturers had cases for the new device at the ready. How this process of creating cases for a device that technically doesn’t exist yet works I have no idea but my guess is Apple forwards certain companies the specs of their upcoming device to go off. I spent the past week using the PixelSkin Case for iPhone 4. Speck has a lot of great accessory lines from iPhone cases and skins to everything iPad and iPod as well, but I was a little hesitant at first as I’m not a fan of cases that add bulk and most pattern or etched cases do.  I was pleasantly surprised with this one and still have it on my iPhone.  I’ve never been a huge fan of textured cases, but this one is deceiving. The PixelSkin HD is made up of Thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPU) which makes it much harder than those cheap silicon cases. I like the finish of the case, it is in matt black and according to Wikipedia, it is resistance to oil, grease and abrasion and hence it is somewhat resistance to fingerprints! I find the “pixels” at the back are just for decorative purposes as I don’t find it improving my grip on the iPhone 4.
