Quiet and regal, always a Princess

The German Shepherd Club (GSC) then got in touch with Noah’s Ark Natural Animal Sanctuary and asked if it would be possible to keep her there. When the little puppy came to the sanctuary, she could hardly walk. She could not even cross a tiny drain 5 cm across. Raymund decided to let her learn to walk on her own. After a couple of years, The GSC came for a visit and discovered that her hip dyslexia disappeared! There was no sign of hip dyslexia in the x-ray scan. At my 23 week appointment I took my sister with me, we both listened to Noah's heartbeat and I remember feeling relief that it sounded so strong, but still expressed concerns to my doctor about the lack of movement...he told me that the heartbeat is there and that I worried too much.  At week 27, I went to my normal visit, had the glucose screening and Rogam injection.  When I saw the doctor, he listened for Noah's heartbeat, asked to feel my pulse at the same time and then said to me "Hmmm it sounded really slow, I thought it may be yours at first, but it is his."  I again expressed my [more...]

Raising a Teeny Greenie Peacenik: September Update: 20 Favorite Photos

This zoo has so much to offer kids Thora and Noah's age. Besides the normal expectations of zoo animals, albeit on a smaller scale, there are kid-sized carnival rides, a farm animal petting zoo, a Fawn Meadow in which you can feed and pet baby deer, a train, a SkyFari chair lift (my living nightmare given my fear of heights--Fun!), a dog and pony show, and a bird aviary. Later, still at the zoo, we played for awhile at the playground. Here's Auric doing what he loves to do--point! He's also incredibly skilled at climbing up a slide.
