Adenine is always paired with thymine and guanine with cytosine, this is called base pairing. The process by which DNA copies itself is called Replication and it takes place in the nuclelus (when the wheat germ was mixed with the detergent this is where the DNA strands come from). Transcription, the second step of information flow in which a part of a DNA molecule is transcribed to RNA.
