Multiple treatments may be needed and recurrence is more common in this area. 5-fluorouracil may be helpful in identifying borders and treating the areas at the same time. Imiquimod 5% cream is a newer topical agent that can also eradicate Bowen's disease lesions in difficult to treat areas.
