The more layers the longer the hold time. Just make sure you wait until a layer becomes clear before applying the next one. That's how you know a layer has completely dried. The bottle claims a 3-6 week hold time, though Julies has yet to find someone that has gotten an entire 6 weeks. She's found most people get a 2-4 week hold time.
